How it works:

1. Generation of hydroxyl radicals: At the anode, water molecules (H2O) are directly oxidized by the strong electric field and the catalysis of the titanium electrode components to generate hydroxyl radicals (·OH). H2O → ·OH + H+ + e-, which are highly oxidizing and can instantly eliminate most pollutants.

2. Ozone Synthesis: Simultaneously, dissolved oxygen in the water, or oxygen generated by the decomposition of water molecules, is catalyzed at the anode to produce ozone (O3). 3H2O → O3 + 6H+ + 6e-. Ozone, as a gas, diffuses into every corner of the water, providing long-lasting and deep oxidative disinfection.

3. Contribution of trace amounts of hypochlorous acid: Even in fresh water, there are usually trace amounts of chlorine ions. These are also catalyzed to produce trace amounts of hypochlorous acid (HClO), providing long-lasting antibacterial properties.
